Introduction

Our client is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Representative to join their sales team. This role combines strong technical knowledge with sales expertise to support business development initiatives by understanding client requirements, providing technical consultation, and promoting the company’s electrical engineering products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients, addressing specific project requirements and providing suitable solutions.
  • Analyse client technical specifications, prepare detailed sales proposals, and recommend tailored engineering solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and tender submissions by providing comprehensive technical input and support.
  • Liaise closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project scope, technical requirements, and proposed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a technical sales role within the electrical engineering or EPC industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, engineering principles, and the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded with strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Package & Remuneration

R450 000 CTC - R600 000 CTC (Negoatiable depending on experience and qualifications)
