DescriptionJob Summary:
The Mid-Level Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. This role supports technical design activities, performs power system studies, and ensures the quality and compliance of electrical deliverables. The position collaborates with project teams, clients, and suppliers to support project execution, contribute to cost estimates and proposals, and deliver efficient and effective engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Develops short circuit, load flow, and arc flash documentation using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software.
- Prepares electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, purchase requisitions, and bid evaluations for drives, switchgear, transformers, and other electrical equipment/materials as required.
- Conducts technical evaluations to assess equipment/material suitability and supports clarification of supplier bids.
- Participates in technical discussions and meetings with suppliers and clients.
- Reviews vendor documents.
- Supports quality control of deliverables within the Electrical discipline.
- Interfaces with project management and clients and coordinates with other project disciplines.
- Assists in the preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals.
- Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal/external service providers or contractors.
- Works with electrical engineers and designers to deliver electrical designs across a variety of projects.
- Prepares electrical calculations and bills of material.
- Maintains effective communication with project team members and clients.
- Contributes to the development of practical and efficient design solutions.
- Performs related duties, as needed.
QualificationsQualifications / Education Requirements:
- BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering is required.
- 4-6 years of experience.
- NCEES P.E. License is preferred.
- Experience with the engineering and design of onshore oil & gas or energy facilities involving high/medium voltage power supply, transformers, motor drives, switchgear/MCC, power distribution, electrical panels, lighting, grounding, etc.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Software:
- Proficient with Smart Plant Electrical, SKM Power Tools, ETAP.
- Experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations.
- Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or facility.
- When on field assignment you may be required to work in a plant and/or shop areas around production machinery subject to varying temperatures and noise.
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
