Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our Bone and Metabolic Health team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting tests to ensure the quality, safety, and performance of BMH medical devices and software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for advancing healthcare technology.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and procedures for hardware and software components of BMH products, including DXA systems.
• Perform verification and validation (V&V) testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, IEC 60601, ISO 13485).
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to risk management activities.
• Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support integration testing of hardware, firmware, and software in a simulated clinical environment.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulatory changes, and emerging testing methodologies.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to support product development and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in testing medical devices, preferably imaging or diagnostic systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, CE, ISO 13485, IEC 60601).
• Experience with software and hardware testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, integration testing).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with strict deadlines.
• Preferred: Knowledge of bone densitometry, DXA systems, or metabolic health diagnostics.
