A nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is seeking a Supervising Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for high-profile building projects. Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical design of complex building systems from concept through construction.
  • Serve as the technical lead and mentor for electrical engineering staff.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
  • Design and oversee electrical power distribution systems, emergency power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, architectural, and technology teams.
  • Provide quality assurance and technical oversight for project deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings and develop long-term relationships with owners, architects, contractors, and project partners.
  • Support project pursuits, proposals, interviews, and business development initiatives.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop junior engineers and designers.
  • Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, field observations, and issue resolution.
  • Stay current with NEC requirements, energy codes, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting engineering or A/E environment.
  • Experience designing building electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, mission critical, life sciences, laboratories, higher education, or advanced technology facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, emergency power systems, generators, UPS systems, lighting, and electrical coordination studies.
  • Experience with Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting, or similar electrical engineering software.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
