Senior RFIC/MMIC Design Engineer – Microwave & Millimeter-Wave Circuits
A leading technology company is seeking a Senior RFIC/MMIC Design Engineer to join its team focused on developing advanced microwave and millimeter-wave control circuits. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on design and validation and want to contribute to innovative products across aerospace, defense, wireless communications, and other high-frequency applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, layout, test, and release new RFIC, MMIC, and hybrid circuits for microwave and millimeter-wave applications.
• Develop components such as switches, limiters, phase shifters, attenuators, mixers, detectors, modulators/demodulators, and multifunction RF front-end devices.
• Lead product development from concept through to engineering validation and release to production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with test, packaging, and assembly teams to develop cost-effective, high-performance solutions.
• Design and characterize evaluation boards and test fixtures, conduct performance measurements, and analyze results.
• Author test and assembly procedures and support smooth transfer to production teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in RF/microwave design for RFICs, MMICs, or hybrid modules.
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g., ADS, AWR) and EM simulation tools (e.g., Momentum, HFSS).
• Practical understanding of impedance matching, high-frequency measurements, and Smith Chart usage.
• Experience with RF validation and characterization using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc.
• Familiarity with high-frequency board layout, thermal considerations, and product packaging.
• Exposure to process/device modeling tools and drawing tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
