About the Role

As an EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of DCS, PLC, and SCADA control systems, ensuring site operations run safely and efficiently. You’ll work on functional safety, cybersecurity, and instrumentation while also supporting capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with industry regulations, optimizing process automation, and enhancing plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Lead the development and maintenance of DCS, PLC, and SCADA control systems across the site.

✅ Ensure cybersecurity and functional safety compliance for control systems.

✅ Provide instrumentation and low-voltage electrical engineering expertise (up to 480V).

✅ Identify and implement new technologies for system upgrades and process improvements.

✅ Scope, specify, and design EC&I installations, including functional safety, cybersecurity, and automation systems.

✅ Act as an Authorized Site Approver for EC&I design packages and change controls.

✅ Support HAZOP, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and Safety Assessments.

✅ Deliver capital projects from concept to commissioning and handover.

✅ Provide technical troubleshooting and problem-solving support to plant operations and maintenance teams.

✅ Support staff development and promote best practices in knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ B.S. in Electrical, Chemical, or Controls Engineering.

✔ 10+ years’ experience in the chemical or process industry, with a strong focus on control systems and automation.

✔ Deep knowledge of DCS, PLCs, and SCADA systems (experience with Rockwell, Allen-Bradley preferred).

✔ Strong understanding of functional safety, cybersecurity, and process control strategies.

✔ Hands-on approach with a practical, problem-solving mindset.

✔ Familiarity with AutoCAD R14+, MS Office, and MS Project.
