Spartan Management LLC is seeking a Senior RF Engineer with experience in the design and development, deployment, operations and maintenance of antennas, RF transmission systems and their support equipment. The individual will work closely with colleagues and customers to identify RF hardware requirements and create new designs for dynamic and constantly challenging requirements. We are seeking an engineer who will lead advances in existing technology and push new RF technology to help expand our capabilities to support our government customers. Qualified engineers will support design, performance verification and fabrication, deployment and operations.
RF Engineer job responsibilities
• Antenna design from initial requirement definition through concept prototype development, production and test for antennas from small antennas up to 30 meters in diameter.
• Interact with customers to determine operational requirements and create designs that meet or exceed those needs.
• Develop test concepts and test procedures for RF testing, including far field and near field measurements
• Develop task level requirements, derived from system level requirements.
• Manage multiple unique and custom projects.
• Investigates and conducts studies on specifications and requirements of the project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF designs into larger systems.
• Plans tests to be conducted and arranges the test setup.
• Checks performance of devices during tests and evaluates the results.
• Provides technical assistance in the preparation of spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment and other engineering data.
• Specifies the procurement of specialized components and test equipment.
• May participate in field tests
• Conduct thorough analysis and testing of RF components to meet specifications.
• Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders and team members.
• Some travel may be required.
Education, Experience and Special Skills:
• Bachelor's degree Electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent required. Masters desired
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) programs preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of RF Engineering experience in design, development, analysis and investigation of electronic devices and systems required. Five to 10 years desired
• U.S. citizenship required, must be able to obtain and maintain DoD TOP SECRET (TS/SCI) security clearance with CI POLY. Active clearance preferred.
• Programming in MATLAB, X-Midas, Assembly Language, Verilog, VHDL, C, JAVA
• Systems Tool Kit (STK), Satellite Tool Kit
• ORCAD, CircuitMaker, LogicAID, Ansoft Designer
• MPLAB (PIC Programming Environment)
• AutoCAD, Visio
• Microsoft Office proficiency
