Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Senior Manager - Electrical Engineering serves as the main technical authority and discipline lead for all electrical engineering matters across IREN’s portfolio of data centre projects. This role provides strategic oversight, governance, and leadership for electrical system design, power distribution infrastructure, equipment integration, and operational support across capital projects and manufacturing initiatives. The Lead ensures technical excellence, standardization, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and reliable power system performance across all regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • P.Eng. registration in Texas (registration in Oklahoma would be an asset).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in low voltage power systems, switchgear/switchboards, and generator integration within industrial, manufacturing, or datacenterenvironments.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as electrical discipline lead or senior technical authority on complex projects.
  • Strong expertise in equipment validation, protection systems, and power distribution products.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, etc.).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to lead technical risk assessments and provide executive-level recommendations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with data center clients or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
