Introduction

An established Australian business is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering South African professionals the opportunity to work on exciting international projects while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a remote team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and review electrical engineering solutions and documentation.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian and international standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Provide technical support throughout project lifecycles.
  • Identify and resolve engineering challenges proactively.
  • Participate in project planning, coordination, and client engagements where required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Senior-level engineers are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and engineering best practices.
  • Experience with relevant engineering software and design tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage deadlines independently.
  • Stable internet connection and dedicated home-office setup.

 

Advantageous

  • Experience working on Australian, international, mining, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Professional registration or eligibility for professional registration.
  • Previous remote work experience within international teams.
