The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100-200K + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mechanisms Electrical Engineer will support a Mechanisms team developing hardware for commercial lunar missions, contributing to the design, analysis, procurement, assembly, and test of electrical and electronic components for space flight mechanisms.

  • Design, analyze, procure, assemble, and test electrical and electronic components for space flight mechanisms.
  • Design and build harnesses, especially flex harnesses.
  • Develop printed wiring assemblies (PWAs), emulators, FlatSat components, and complete boxes.
  • Work with Stepper and Brushless DC motors and controllers, encoders, resolvers, hold-down and release mechanisms (HDRMs), limit switches, and other feedback devices.
  • Contribute to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Bill of Materials (BOM), Materials Identification and Usage List (MIUL), and verification and validation (V&V) activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, with senior-level experience in space flight hardware.
  • Experience with Stepper and Brushless DC motors and controllers.
  • Experience with encoders, resolvers, HDRMs, limit switches, and other feedback devices.
  • Experience designing and building flight harnesses, PWAs, and electronic assemblies.
  • Training Certs: J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • GIDEP awareness.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Soldering experience.
