Introduction

An opportunity exists for a high-calibre Professional Energy & Electrical Engineer to assume a pivotal role in driving the design, optimisation, and execution of advanced electrical and renewable energy solutions within the commercial and industrial sector.

This role is suited to a technically astute and commercially aware professional who combines deep engineering expertise with the ability to influence strategy, lead project delivery, and cultivate strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The successful incumbent will be instrumental in shaping sustainable energy solutions, enhancing operational efficiencies, and contributing directly to business growth through innovative engineering leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Technical Excellence

  • Lead the end-to-end design and optimisation of electrical and renewable energy systems, including solar PV, battery storage, and hybrid energy solutions
  • Provide expert oversight in electrical load analysis, demand forecasting, and system optimisation
  • Develop high-quality conceptual and detailed engineering designs, aligned with best practice and regulatory frameworks
  • Take ownership of technical due diligence, feasibility assessments, and system performance modelling

Commercial & Project Delivery Impact

  • Drive engineering input across the full project lifecycle—from concept and design through to execution and commissioning
  • Compile and validate comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) ensuring cost-effectiveness and technical accuracy for C&I projects
  • Support commercial objectives through cost optimisation, solution efficiency, and margin enhancement
  • Ensure delivery excellence against project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations

Renewable Energy Innovation

  • Champion the implementation of cutting-edge renewable energy solutions, with a strong focus on solar PV integration
  • Provide strategic input into energy transition initiatives and sustainability frameworks
  • Remain at the forefront of emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and market trends

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability
  • Engage cross-functionally to align engineering deliverables with broader business objectives
  • Act as a credible technical authority in client-facing and advisory engagements

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Professional Standing

  • PV GreenCard Certification (Mandatory)
  • Recognised Electrical Qualification
  • Engineering Degree (Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
  • Professional Registration (Pr Eng – Electrical) strongly preferred

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven track record in electrical engineering and energy solution design within commercial and industrial environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in renewable energy systems, particularly solar PV and hybrid energy solutions
  • Strong experience in electrical load management, optimisation, and system integration
  • Established capability in compiling detailed BOMs and supporting complex project delivery
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary project environments with measurable commercial impact
