Pr Electrical Engineer

A well-established engineering and infrastructure firm is seeking a professionally registered Pr Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong professional with proven experience in powerline and substation design within the utilities or infrastructure sector.

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional registration as a Pr Eng (ECSA) – Non-negotiable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in powerline and substation design
• Strong understanding of Eskom and municipal standards
• Proficiency in relevant design software and power system analysis tools
• Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee HV and MV powerline and substation projects
• Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings
• Perform load flow studies and protection coordination
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Support project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints
