Compensation
-
$125,000–$130,000 for candidates with approximately 5 years of experience
-
$140,000–$150,000 for candidates with approximately 7–10 years of experience

What You’ll Do
As a Power Systems Electrical Engineer, you will support the reliability, maintenance, optimization, and performance of electrical power systems ranging from 120V low-voltage systems through high-voltage systems up to 69kV/138kV.
Key responsibilities include:

Support the reliability and performance of electrical power distribution systems and equipment.

Analyze and improve electrical system reliability across low-, medium-, and high-voltage applications.

Work with electrical distribution equipment, including transformers and associated power systems.

Perform and interpret motor circuit analysis to identify developing electrical and equipment issues.
-
Conduct and/or evaluate transformer oil analysis to assess transformer condition and identify potential reliability concerns.

Conduct equipment criticality assessments and risk analysis to identify and prioritize critical electrical assets.
-
Develop and implement asset strategies aligned with equipment criticality and business objectives.
-
Evaluate preventive maintenance programs and identify opportunities to eliminate low-value maintenance activities while maintaining appropriate risk controls.

Utilize condition-monitoring and predictive-maintenance technologies to improve equipment performance and reliability.

Analyze maintenance history, reliability metrics, root-cause analysis results, and equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Facilitate or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA, and Weibull analysis activities.

Develop and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide electrical reliability and maintenance input for capital projects, including equipment selection, design reviews, bills of materials, and maintenance strategies.

Support the integration of new equipment into site reliability and maintenance systems.

Ensure maintenance and inspection information is accurately documented within CMMS systems.

Support equipment inspections and facility audits to identify reliability concerns proactively.

Partner with maintenance and reliability teams to optimize spare-parts strategies and equipment availability.

Champion Management of Change (MOC) processes for electrical equipment and process modifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, reliability, production performance, and cost effectiveness.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline

Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience

Experience with electrical power systems ranging from 120V through high-voltage systems, including systems up to 69kV/138kV
-
Experience with transformers and electrical distribution systems

Demonstrated experience with motor circuit analysis

Experience with transformer oil analysis
-
Strong understanding of electrical reliability, maintenance, and condition-monitoring principles

Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, including NFPA/NEC and NETA or comparable standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to analyze technical data and translate findings into practical reliability improvements

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a chemical manufacturing or other process manufacturing environment

Experience with reliability engineering methodologies, including RCM, FMEA, RCA, and Weibull analysis

Experience with predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring technologies, including infrared thermography
-
Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance data analysis
-
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
-
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
