Power Electronics Engineer II – Space Systems Hardware

We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer II to join our dynamic team. If you're passionate about cutting-edge hardware for space power systems, thrive in a startup environment, and excel in your field, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop full-stack power systems and electronics for satellite and space-based applications. This includes tasks ranging from architecture definition and block diagram creation to detailed design, simulation, PCB layout, testing, and support through manufacturing.

As part of the analog and power electronics group, you’ll contribute to the design of advanced power conversion and conditioning systems. You'll also receive mentorship in areas such as power magnetics theory and design, analog and digital control, circuit design, and hands-on lab testing. Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with experts across RF, digital, mechanical, software, and test engineering disciplines. Rapid professional and technical growth is expected and encouraged.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Internship, research, or hands-on experience in electronics hardware development.
• Familiarity with electronics design tools (e.g., Altium).
• Experience in PCB layout and design.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience
• Master’s degree focused on power electronics or related academic research.
• Experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, MathCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, HyperLynx, ANSYS SiWave, etc.).
• Advanced coursework in analog or power electronics.
• Participation in engineering competition teams or relevant extracurricular projects.
• Basic programming experience in languages such as C/C++ or Python.
