Job Title: Microelectronics Engineer/Scientist
The Mission Capabilities and Concepts (MCC) division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Microelectronics Engineer/Scientist to research and analyze the global defense industrial base, recommend prototyping efforts, craft acquisition documents, evaluate proposed efforts, monitor program execution, conduct outreach efforts, and conduct site visits.
This position will provide technical and programmatic support to the DoD's Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program, focusing on the Microelectronics Sector, which aims to strengthen the Defense Industrial Base by strategizing and managing investments in digital transformation, semiconductors, radiation-hardened electronics, and RF technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and analyze the global defense industrial base
• Recommend relevant prototyping efforts
• Craft acquisition documents
• Evaluate proposed efforts
• Monitor program execution
• Conduct outreach efforts
• Conduct site visits
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM discipline, such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, materials science and engineering, or industrial engineering
• DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
• Must be a US Citizen
• 5-7 years of professional work experience
Desired Qualifications:
• Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline
• Program management experience
• DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE)
• Knowledge of systems engineering concepts and methods
