Introduction

The primary responsibilities of this position are; 
 All Electrical and Instrumentation Terminations 
 Testing of Electrical and instrumentation circuits 
 Quality Control 
 Fault Finding 
In addition to this, this role needs to: 
 Understand and comply with Health & Safety requirements 
 Order, receive and return site material to and from the store manager as required 
 Loading & unloading of vehicles 
 Managing teams on site as required 
 Complete required staff and site documentation as required by Site Manager / team leader. 
 Commissioning and testing.

Duties & Responsibilities

 Qualified Electrician 
 Electrical Instrumentation Technician (adv) 
** All-clear medical report 
 Industrial automation experience PLC 
etc (3-5 years) 
 Excellent electrician/wireman 
experience 
 Instrumentation knowledge 
 PLC Knowledge 
 Excellent tools usage experience 
 Sound electrical laws knowledge 
 SHE knowledge 
 People/team management experience

Desired Experience & Qualification

 
 Cable Terminations 
 Termination of 3phase / Single Phase Motors 
Testing of Electrical and instrumentation circuits 
 On site testing of Electrical installations 
 On site testing of Instrumentation circuits Quality Control

 Completion of company quality testing documents 
 Compile testing results 
 Feedback to site manager / team leader

 Maintain company standards on installations 

 Fault finding on various electrical installations 
 Fault finding on various instrumentations circuits 
 
Health and Safety 
Manage Site Health and Safety according to regulations 
 Accountable for Health and Safety in allocated workspace and for any 
workforce when applicable Enforce strict application of Health and Safety Plan 
 Work with SHE officer to ensure site compliance in the following areas: 
o Develop and deliver work methods and standards that will ensure 
health and safety legislation is complied with. 
o Ensure that all staff are aware of safety procedures and embed a 
strong health and safety culture - seeking to develop a positive attitude 
to health and safety among staff. 
o Ensure that all site equipment is kept in good working condition; this 
includes the regular maintenance and servicing of equipment 
o Issue protective clothing where necessary 
o Conduct emergency evacuation drills in accordance with Site Healthy 
and Safety requirements 
o Prevent workers from using or working with dangerous materials or 
machines, unless all safety rules have been followed 
o Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any 
risks to health and safety 
o Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in good working 
order, workshops are clean and neat. 
o Keep the workplace open so that workers can escape from danger if 
necessary 
 Maintain SHE file/documentation and provide daily/weekly feedback to SHE 
Officer when required 
 Ensure SHE provides adequate training, information, instruction to ensure that 
work is conducted safely when required
