Electrical (PLC) Engineer – Manufacturing & Automation

Our client is hiring a senior Electrical Controls Engineer to lead design, development, and support of advanced control systems in a manufacturing setting. This hands-on role involves both software and on-the-floor troubleshooting, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and mentoring others.
Primary Responsibilities
• Design and implement industrial electrical control systems
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs (CODESYS, Allen-Bradley)
• Create schematics (NFPA 79) using AutoCAD
• Lead projects from concept through implementation
• Support and optimize existing systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally and provide technical mentorship
Candidate Qualifications
• Associate degree + 10 years’ experience, or BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years
• Strong PLC and controls background, manufacturing experience preferred
• Proficiency in ladder logic, AutoCAD, and I/O systems
• Bonus: Visual C#, .NET MAUI, ASP.NET MVC, OPC UA, EtherCAT, TwinCAT, Universal Robots
• Coachable, collaborative, and clear communicator
Salary:
• $100-125K annual base salary for qualified candidates
