Aurora ARC Wind Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on electrical systems and infrastructure projects within the renewable energy and industrial sectors, supporting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will conduct testing of electrical systems, prepare technical documentation, assist with design activities, estimate project costs, and support the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.

This is a full-time position with a minimum of 38 hours per week hiring over multiple sites across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark up and redline drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry.
  • Assist Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with the design and layout of: SubstationsSwitchgearCabling systemsMotor control systems
  • Estimate material quantities and project costs.
  • Inspect installations and completed works to ensure compliance with specifications, standards and regulations.
  • Perform electrical workshop functions, including the installation and assembly of: Protection relaysMetering equipmentIndicating devices
  • Assist with research, testing and experimentation programs.
  • Interpret electrical diagrams, drawings, specifications and plans to determine suitable materials and sequences of operation.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant work experience OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong understanding of electrical installations, circuitry and technical drawings.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and plans.
  • Experience with electrical testing, installation and compliance inspections.
  • Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.

Salary & Benefits
