JOB SUMMARY

An Electrical Engineer is responsible for the transistion from prototype to production manufacturing of high voltage power supplies (HVPS).  HVPS involves through-hole and surface mounted PCB assembly, custom transformer winding and potting. Experience with various methods of soldering and PCB inspection inclusive of AOI and X-Ray imaging. Responsible for the monitoring and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve electrical performance issues.
• Introduce and validate production methods
• Supporting the development of product and processes
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes and test results

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of electronics circuit design and development
• Experience with Schematic Capture (OrCAD, PSpice, etc.)
• Familiar with PCB layout, automated optical inspection
• Experience with both analog and digital electronics
• Signal processing, Power Supplies, PID controllers
• Troubleshoot and debug electronics
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
