Electrical Engineering Leader - Mission Critical Power Systems Studies - Mid Atlantic Region

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Leader to build and lead a team focused on enhancing the performance, safety, and reliability of electrical systems across diverse facilities. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in power systems, electrical analysis, and regulatory compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including facilities, operations, and engineering—to drive sustainable improvements while maintaining operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead energy audits, retro-commissioning, and system optimization to improve facility energy performance.
• Oversee renovation and retrofit projects with a focus on sustainability, integrating energy-efficient systems and materials.
• Align engineering initiatives with organizational sustainability goals through close coordination with facilities and operations teams.
• Conduct arc flash studies and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA requirements.
• Perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, and protective device coordination.
• Generate technical reports and enforce electrical safety protocols and standards.
• Ensure all electrical systems meet environmental and regulatory standards (e.g., LEED, ENERGY STAR, ISO 14001, NFPA 70E).
• Manage the process for achieving green building certifications.
• Deliver regular reports on sustainability metrics and progress to senior leadership.
• Explore and implement innovative technologies, including smart building solutions, energy storage, and AI-powered tools.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support investment decisions in sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on leadership in existing buildings and infrastructure.
• Active U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong track record in executing successful energy efficiency and sustainability programs.
• Proficient in engineering tools such as ETAP or SKM Power Tools.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical standards and regulations including NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NEC.
• Experienced in managing retrofit and renovation projects with an emphasis on sustainability.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance and green building certifications.
• Valid U.S. work authorization required.
