We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join the team of a Tier 1 Mining Operator to provide technical and project delivery support across a portfolio of projects. You will also support site mobilisation, execution activities and be the interface between engineering, construction and operational teams.
About the role:
- Provide technical advice and prepare, review and manage scopes of work
- Support the delivery of electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning
- Coordinate project activities across engineering, procurement, construction and site execution teams
- Assist in managing project risks, variations, TQs, RFIs and action registers
- Monitor project cost, schedule and quality performance and contribute to reporting requirements
- Prepare and administer tender and contract documentation
- Support contractor management and construction phase activities
- Assist with capital cost estimates and project commercial reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company requirements at all times
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors
About you:
To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in heavy industry or mining construction projects
- Experience in project scoping, planning, scheduling and monitoring
- Experience preparing tender documentation and managing tender processes
- Desirable: Project Management Training
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
This role is initially Perth-based before progressing to FIFO in August working on a 4:3 roster. The role is offered on a 12 month contract initially with potential to extend as the projects progress. Mid-June start.
