Electrical Engineer R Hill

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join the team of a Tier 1 Mining Operator to provide technical and project delivery support across a portfolio of projects. You will also support site mobilisation, execution activities and be the interface between engineering, construction and operational teams.

 About the role: 

• Provide technical advice and prepare, review and manage scopes of work
• Support the delivery of electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning
• Coordinate project activities across engineering, procurement, construction and site execution teams
• Assist in managing project risks, variations, TQs, RFIs and action registers
• Monitor project cost, schedule and quality performance and contribute to reporting requirements
• Prepare and administer tender and contract documentation
• Support contractor management and construction phase activities
• Assist with capital cost estimates and project commercial reporting
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company requirements at all times
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors

About you:

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in heavy industry or mining construction projects
• Experience in project scoping, planning, scheduling and monitoring
• Experience preparing tender documentation and managing tender processes
• Desirable: Project Management Training
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience

This role is initially Perth-based before progressing to FIFO in August working on a 4:3 roster. The  role is offered on a 12 month contract initially with potential to extend as the projects progress. Mid-June start.
