We are looking for a mid-level Electrical Engineer to support the development of battery-electric vehicle systems. This hands-on role will focus on PCB design, board bring-up, hardware testing, troubleshooting, and system integration.
The engineer will work from schematic design through prototype builds, validation, and design updates while collaborating with mechanical, software, controls, and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop schematics and PCB layouts for control, sensing, communication, and power-distribution systems.
- Select components and maintain bills of materials and design documentation.
- Perform board bring-up, soldering, rework, testing, debugging, and failure analysis.
- Integrate PCBs with controllers, sensors, wiring harnesses, communication networks, and power-electronics components.
- Support CAN Bus, Ethernet, Modbus, I2C, and SPI interfaces.
- Support STM32 and other embedded-controller hardware.
- Develop test procedures and document results, corrective actions, and design changes.
- Apply grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC practices for high-voltage and harsh operating environments.
- Coordinate with PCB suppliers and contract manufacturers on prototype and production issues.
- Support system-level testing during prototype and vehicle builds.

- Three or more years of electrical hardware or PCB design experience.
- Experience with KiCad, Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, Eagle, or a similar PCB design tool.
- Hands-on experience with board bring-up, soldering, rework, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, component selection, grounding, filtering, and power distribution.
- Experience with embedded controllers and common vehicle or board-level communication protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems at the board, subsystem, and system levels.
Preferred Experience
- KiCad and STM32.
- Wire-harness design and cable routing.
- High-voltage DC systems, battery systems, power electronics, or electric vehicles.
- Automated hardware testing and test-fixture development.
- EMI/EMC testing and harsh-environment hardware design.
- Automotive, rail, aerospace, robotics, marine, or industrial systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, EN 50155, or related safety standards.
