Electrical Engineer (Mining – MV/LV Design & Commissioning)

A specialist Electrical and Automation Engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its growing technical team in Bryanston. This role focuses on the design, development, and commissioning of MV and LV electrical systems primarily within the mining sector, with exposure to broader industrial applications. This is a hands-on engineering role for a technically strong professional who enjoys end-to-end project involvement, from design and vendor evaluation through to commissioning support and client handover.

• BSc / BEng / BTech Electrical Engineering (essential)
• Registration with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng (candidates acceptable if progressing)
• 5–7 years’ experience in electrical engineering within mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong exposure to MV and LV system design and commissioning
• Experience with brownfields and greenfields projects
• Strong understanding of electrical standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong technical problem-solving ability and engineering judgement
• Willingness to travel to site (including underground mining exposure)
• Hands-on engineering mindset (design-focused role, not maintenance)
