Position – Electrical Engineer Level 5 (Production Support Engineering)
Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)
We are currently seeking Electrical Engineers – Level 5 to support production engineering operations in Tucson, AZ. This role supports production troubleshooting, hardware builds, supplier issue resolution, and engineering support activities in a fast-paced aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. These are direct hire opportunities supporting government contract programs.
Summary
The Electrical Engineer Level 5 is responsible for supporting production operations through advanced troubleshooting, hardware analysis, technical documentation updates, supplier coordination, and cross-functional engineering support activities. This role requires strong hands-on electrical engineering experience with complex circuit card assemblies, electro-mechanical systems, and production support engineering processes in high-priority manufacturing environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Resolve production and supplier issues, including troubleshooting and coordinating corrective actions
- Maintain and update technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Prepare and present engineering change packages for review boards
- Diagnose hardware failures using electronic test equipment and engineering analysis tools
- Evaluate defects and yield data to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support production engineering activities involving electrical and electro-mechanical hardware
- Collaborate with suppliers and support Statements of Work (SOW) development
- Support subsystem integration, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities
- Make rapid technical assessments of production issues and determine corrective action paths
- Communicate troubleshooting plans and status updates across cross-functional teams
- Support operational efficiency and hardware production objectives
- Other duties as assigned
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- 4th Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Shift differentials available for eligible off-shift positions.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience required

Experience with digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed signal testing/debugging required

Experience troubleshooting complex circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems required

Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and BoMs required

Candidates must be U.S. Persons due to government contract requirements

Active Secret Clearance, eligibility to obtain one, or ability to obtain Interim Clearance required

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, and related lab equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering analysis and troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience supporting production engineering environments preferred
- Background in electronic or electro-optical subsystem design, assembly, and fabrication practices preferred
- Familiarity with electrical design, simulation, and measurement tools preferred
- Experience with subsystem integration, testing, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Ability to provide technical guidance, coordination, and project oversight
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support fast-paced aerospace and defense production operations
