Employment: Full-time, Permanent (Direct Hire)

A leading developer of marine and industrial motion control solutions is hiring an Electrical Engineer III to support the subsea technology industry. In this role, you will design, develop, and support electronics for motion control products, including underwater propulsion systems, electric rotary and linear actuators, and electro-hydraulic systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams and clients, you will lead custom projects from concept to final testing on the manufacturing floor.

What You'll Own

- Design and implement electrical systems for subsea electromechanical equipment, thruster motors, and precision actuators.

- Develop brushless motor drivers, power stage design (gate drive circuits, IGBTs, MOSFETs), and supporting circuitry.

- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and hands-on prototype testing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical specifications, DFMEA/PFMEA analyses, and test procedures.

- Supervise and support electromechanical technicians during circuit board assembly and product integration.

- Act as the Project Engineer on custom projects to ensure technical success, budget compliance, and timely delivery.

What You'll Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a highly related technical field.

- 5 to 10 years of professional engineering experience, preferably within a hardware manufacturing environment.

- Strong technical expertise in electromechanical power conversion, precision actuation, and three-phase AC/DC motor control (specifically brushless motors).

- Proven understanding of microcontroller circuit design, embedded systems (PWM, ADCs, DACs), and serial communication interfaces.

- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, load cells, PCB testing tools).

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for customer-facing technical discussions and small business team settings.

Nice to Have

- Experience utilizing Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.

- Prior exposure to subsea-rated hardware or underwater propulsion systems.

- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, BOM structures, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
