Introduction

Well-established manufacturing operation based in a remote area of Mthatha, is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with a GCC (Factories). This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with both plant and project experience, capable of ensuring electrical reliability and driving engineering improvements within a factory environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain all electrical systems within the plant
  • Manage and execute electrical and engineering projects
  • Provide technical support and fault-finding on plant equipment
  • Perform standby duties as required
  • Ensure plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement electrical test procedures, including:
    • Recommending limits and specifications for electrical equipment
    • Applying both simple and specialized testing methods
    • Liaising with suppliers to obtain standard test procedures
    • Conducting periodic testing and compliance checks
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • GCC (Factories) – essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical and project engineering within a factory/manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of plant systems and materials
