Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with proven experience in bulk material handling systems. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain electrical solutions for conveyors, crushers, feeders, and other heavy-duty equipment used in mining, manufacturing, and industrial environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design and oversee electrical systems for bulk material handling equipment motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation).
Conduct load calculations, fault analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and tender submissions.
Troubleshoot and optimize electrical systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
 
Requirements (The "Must-Haves")
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc).
Candidate Engineer with ECSA.
5+ years’ experience in bulk material handling or heavy industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of motor control, VSDs, PLC programming, and automation systems.
Familiarity with mining and manufacturing safety standards (OHS Act, SANS codes).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar design software.
