Introduction

Lexdan Select is assisting a Manufacturing company with their search for an Electrical Engineer. Based in Bellville, Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project teams.
  • Review and prepare electrical designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct fault-finding, technical investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Support transformer, switchgear, renewable energy, generator, and battery storage projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist with technical supplier evaluations and equipment selection.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant SANS standards and industry requirements.
  • Mentor technical personnel and contribute to new product development and technology innovation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Key Requirements

  • BTech, Advanced Diploma, BEng, or BSc in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years' experience in electrical manufacturing, power systems, switchgear, industrial projects, or renewable energy.
  • Strong knowledge of MV and LV electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of SANS transformer and electrical standards.
  • ECSA registration and/or GCC (Factories)
