THE ROLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Electrical Engineer, with the role specified as Principal Engineer to Associate Director level, will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects, overseeing the design, delivery and technical assurance of electrical engineering solutions.

The role will lead multidisciplinary design teams, manage client relationships, mentor engineers and contribute to strategic business growth initiatives. It will also play a central role in shaping project outcomes and driving design quality across multidisciplinary teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of electrical engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.

• Provide technical leadership and governance across multidisciplinary project teams.

• Oversee the preparation and review of calculations, specifications, reports and design deliverables.

• Act as Design Lead, Technical Lead or Design Manager on major projects.

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage complex projects.

• Develop and maintain key client relationships.

• Support framework management, bid preparation and business development activities.

• Manage project resources, programme delivery, technical quality and commercial performance.

• Mentor and develop graduate, engineer and senior engineer team members.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, client standards and company procedures.

• Promote innovation, digital delivery and continuous improvement across projects.

Desired Experience & Qualification

 Significant experience delivering electrical engineering projects within the UK water sector.

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing complex projects.

• Experience delivering electrical engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.

• Experience providing technical leadership and governance across multidisciplinary project teams.

• Experience overseeing the preparation and review of calculations, specifications, reports and design deliverables.

• Experience acting as a Design Lead, Technical Lead or Design Manager on major projects.

• Experience developing and maintaining key client relationships.

• Experience supporting framework management, bid preparation and business development activities.

• Experience managing project resources, programme delivery, technical quality and commercial performance.

• Experience mentoring and developing graduate, engineer and senior engineer team members.

• Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, client standards and company procedures.

• Experience promoting innovation, digital delivery and continuous improvement across projects.
