Design & Project Development: Develop comprehensive engineering designs, statements of work, specifications, and cost estimates for facility electrical systems, including interior/exterior lighting, power distribution, backup generators, and fire alarm systems.
Infrastructure Assessment: Conduct site visits and field investigations to evaluate existing medium and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and airfield lighting. Identify infrastructure deficiencies and recommend lifecycle upgrades or critical repairs.
Contract & Construction Oversight: Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and project plans provided by construction contractors. Ensure all proposed work strictly complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and Department of the Air Force standards.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Investigate complex electrical failures, power outages, and power quality issues across base infrastructure. Provide actionable, engineering-based solutions and technical guidance to maintenance personnel, craftspeople, and base leadership.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work seamlessly with mechanical, civil, and architectural engineers, as well as utility managers and project managers, to ensure the cohesive and successful execution of multi-disciplinary facility projects.
