In this unique position, the candidate will work with the Apple Display Engineering team in Santa Clara Valley to develop new methods to improve display performance,Β validate system integration, support mass production, and eventually being responsible for the front-of- screen experience of every Apple device with a small display.
Characterize display performance through hands on measurementsΒ \\nData analysis to evaluate electrical and optical performanceΒ \\nWork with team to understand fundamentals of display technology and existing workflows\\nRethink existing workflows to devise creative ways to automate tasks\\nBring up of prototype hardware and software\\nAssist team members in troubleshooting failures to root cause
B.S. with 5 years experience or M.S. with 2 years experience in Engineering, Optics, Physics, Statistics, or related fields\\nWorking experience in consumer electronics, display, semi-conductor industry.\\nHands-on lab experience and measurement skills\\nProficiency in communication and presentation with English.\\nExcellent debugging, optimization and problem solving skills.\\nAbility and willingness to travel overseas.
Solid fundamentals in one of the following engineering/optics/signal processing/physics background to enable fast mastering of display technology\\nKnowledge of display calibration and compensation technologies.\\nProficiency of using statistic tools (JMP, minitab, etc) and scripting languages (Matlab, python, Lua, etc)\\nExperience in working closely with multi-functional teams, as well as with overseas suppliers.\\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
