Summary: The Electrical Engineer II position at Vytl Controls Group is a multifaceted role that requires a mixture of technical expertise, creativity, and communication skills. The Electrical Engineer II shall be instrumental in designing new products, improving existing products, assisting the sales team with technical inquiries, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with industry standards. This role plays a pivotal part in bridging the gap between various departments within the company. Engineers in this role will work closely with Vytl Controls Group overseas and domestic manufacturing partners, the sales team, production team, and the quality department. Vytl Controls Group engineers also work directly with customers to solve complex problems, design effective solutions, and provide technical support. Additionally, this position is responsible for keeping product information up to date in compliance with ASME, API, ISO and like standards, creating marketing materials, and supporting production with tool design and assembly instructions.   Responsibilities: Ownership in the design and development of electrical components, assemblies, and systems Create, modify, and maintain electrical schematics in accordance with company standards Create, modify, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models in accordance with company standards Lead engineering analyses and support design reviews Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities, including data collection and analysis Prepare and maintain engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, BOMs, and reports Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and internal procedures Support engineering change processes and configuration control Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other engineering teams Provide engineering support during fabrication, assembly, installation, or field service Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives Actively contribute to professional development efforts   Positional Requirements & Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited University is required 5 years of previous engineering experience Understanding of core mechanical engineering principles Basic proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software     Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Exposure to manufacturing, testing, or product development environments Familiarity with industry-specific standards, materials, or processes Clear background check within company and customer requirements Must be able to pass drug & alcohol screening       Essential Physical Functions   Lifting up to 25 pounds Bending, stooping, ability to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
