Imagine crafting solutions the world doesn't know of yet! The Sensing Systems team integrates MEMS, magnetic, and capacitive sensors across a variety of Apple products such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. We bring devices to life, enabling them to interact with users and the environment in ways never imagined before. The Touch ID team develops sensors that are central to the security and convenience of Apple products. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sensor Architect to play a key role in the development and integration of next-generation Touch ID technologies. As a Sensor Architect, you will be responsible for defining electrical architecture requirements, identifying technical de-risk paths, and leading prototyping efforts. You will collaborate closely with silicon teams, defining silicon-level requirements for sensor integration into systems. You will also be involved in the physical sensor development, including running simulations, performing schematic capture, module and flex design, leading multi-functional integration discussions and coexistence assessments, and validating the module design and features throughout the supply chain. This role requires a strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, flexible and rigid PCB design, signal integrity and power integrity evaluation, lab validation, and electrical failure analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of taking electrical designs from concept to mass production.
