About the Role
Reditus Space is seeking a Testing Engineer Intern to support the verification and validation of spacecraft systems for the ENOS mission — our reusable reentry platform for microgravity research and manufacturing. You’ll contribute to test planning, hardware setup, data acquisition, and test execution across structural, thermal, avionics, and propulsion domains. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates who enjoy working with flight hardware, solving problems in real time, and ensuring mission readiness through rigorous testing.
Responsibilities
• Assist with test campaign planning, including procedure drafting and hardware preparation
• Set up instrumentation and data acquisition systems for structural, thermal, and environmental testing
• Support integration and functional testing of spacecraft subsystems
• Troubleshoot hardware issues during setup and execution
• Analyze test results and prepare reports for engineering reviews
• Help maintain test infrastructure, including ground support equipment and facilities
Qualifications
• Senior undergraduate or graduate student in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Familiarity with sensors, DAQ systems, and test instrumentation
• Experience with test scripting, data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB), and basic electronics
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to execution
• Comfortable working in lab, shop, and field test environments
• Prior exposure to spacecraft, aircraft, or automotive testing is a plus
Why Reditus Space?
This internship offers deep exposure to the testing phase of spacecraft development — from system-level tests to qualification campaigns. Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance may be offered full-time positions following the internship.
