Job Title: Sensor Test Development Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA - Onsite

Employment Type: Full-Time with L&T Technology Services (LTTS).

Job Description:
• Sensors Team is helping build novel products in Augmented and Virtual Reality.
• Research and development in Sensors and Sensing Systems is driving the state-of-the-art forward through relentless innovation. Our team explores, develops, and delivers new, cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products.
• We are looking for candidates with expertise in test system bring-up and sensor characterization to help with the development of novel hardware and software systems within the Sensors Team, while collaborating with experts across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

● Develop PC-based software test solutions for the characterization of sensors including accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, pressure, and ultrasonic sensors.

● Develop and implement software that tests electrical and mechanical sensor parameters using Matlab, Python and/or LabVIEW.

● Improve test software scalability and drive code reuse while ensuring test accuracy and repeatability.

● Document best practices and leverage internal infrastructure to automate data analysis and report generation tasks.

● Define and implement the infrastructure necessary to ensure reliable data collection.

Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

● 2+ years of experience developing test data analysis software or scripts using Matlab, Python or similar programming environments.

● Experience with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial.

● Experience developing unit, system, and corner-case tests for PC-based software.

● Experience troubleshooting electronics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.

Preferred Qualifications

● Demonstrated experience with semiconductor, sensor and/or MEMS test development.

● Demonstrated experience with developing and debugging embedded firmware.

● Familiarity with analog and digital hardware development at the PCB level.

● Demonstrated experience in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.

● Familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies.
