A Substation Engineer with a specialization in physical substation design is needed to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the power delivery industry, specifically with electrical engineering and utility scale substation design.
Responsibilities:
• Perform specific portions of a broader assignment under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and simple tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.
• Identify discrepancies in results.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience with high voltage substation design.
• EIT Certification.
• Proficient in use of AutoCAD and/or Bentley Microstation.
The ideal candidate will also possess preferred qualifications, including a professional engineering license, knowledge of construction practices and constructability, and working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes.
