About the position

As an Electrical Design Engineer at ENTRUST Solutions Group, you will play a crucial role in the detailed engineering design of substations within the utilities industry. This position is ideal for recent graduates from electrical engineering programs, particularly those who are set to graduate in December or May 2025. You will be responsible for assisting in the completion of various studies and calculations necessary for the proper design of substations. This includes grounding calculations, lightning protection calculations, battery bank sizing calculations, conduit fill calculations, and substation sizing calculations. Your work will support lead engineers and project managers on complex projects, guiding them from the initial stages of full scope estimating and proposals through to detailed design and equipment procurement. You will also be involved in project construction bidding and provide support during commissioning and construction for energization. Responsibilities
• Responsible for detailed engineering design of substations within the utilities industry.

• Assist in completing studies and calculations for proper substation design, including grounding, lightning protection, battery bank sizing, conduit fill, and substation sizing calculations.

• Support lead engineers and project managers on complex projects from full scope estimating and proposals through detailed design and equipment procurement.

• Participate in project construction bidding and provide construction support for energization.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent required.

• Ability to travel up to 15% as needed for projects and client visits.
