About the position
The Staff Software Antenna Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman will play a crucial role in the Test Engineering Team, focusing on the development and testing of software related to advanced radar systems. This position involves leading software development teams, defining software requirements, and collaborating with design engineering to enhance hardware and testing processes. The role is integral to ensuring the quality and efficiency of phased array testing and automating test processes.
Responsibilities
• Test software architecture and development related to phased array testing
,
• Test software architecture and development for automating test processes and data analysis
,
• Lead test software development teams across multiple software projects
,
• Define software requirements based on product test requirements
,
• Develop test plans and lead software integration efforts
,
• Support production test and lead troubleshooting efforts
,
• Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
,
• Maintain sensitivity to cost, schedule and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline with 12 Years of relevant experience; 5 Years with Masters
,
• Professional software development experience using languages such as C++, Python, MATLAB, etc.

• Professional software architecture experience
,
• Professional leadership experience leading software teams through software development projects
,
• Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.
,
• Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
,
• U.S. citizenship
