Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking a Sr. Specialist power electronics design engineer who will join the design team to contribute to the growing power conversion circuit card design needs. The designer will apply their knowledge designing low and high voltage, high frequency switch mode power supplies under the supervision of a senior power electronics engineer. The individual must work with other engineering disciplines to ensure power supply designs meet the power, thermal, emissions and safety requirements of the system requirements.

Experience with CAD tools (preferably Mentor Graphics) for schematic entry and layout.
The individual must be able to work from oral and written instructions, be dependable, positive, assertive, a team player and have a strong desire to succeed.
Great communications skills to expeditiously coordinate efforts through all phases of the engineering and manufacturing process while contributing to a high-performance team environment to meet customer needs.
Willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
Experience with common lab equipment (electronic loads, bench power supplies, function generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Ability to obtain a US DoD security clearance is a plus.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-1399, and MIL-STD-461 is a plus.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio software.
Design experience in military, high-reliability, or other ruggedized industries.
