Senior Signal Integrity Engineer

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products enable the electronics revolution and are key for major Tier 1 OEMs worldwide. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team in Valley Green, PA.
The SI Engineer will be part of an established team responsible for component development and customer support on new product introduction.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop next-generation high-speed backplane interconnect products.
• Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects.
• Provide solutions to customers across various sectors for high-speed data transmission needs.
• Support Sales Engineers in developing strategies for product integration at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise.
• Identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layouts and guide layout design.
• Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission principles to PCB design.
Required Qualifications:
• BSc in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Hands-on experience with frequency- and time-domain component and circuit characterization, including test and calibration methods.
• Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging using TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors, and similar equipment.
• Understanding of electromagnetic principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience.
• Experience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects in communication systems.
• Proficiency with signal integrity simulation and analysis tools such as ANSYS HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADS.
