Perform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for firm software products and devices in conjunction with hardware product development for the electronic communications industry. Implement new engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, and modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components. Contribute to technical projects within the areas of testing methods, device specification, and yield problems. Perform redesign of devices, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems. Review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition. Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and stated requirements. Operate computer-assisted engineering software tools and configure the same. Confer with customers and other departments on design status, processing, testing and technical issues, and failure analysis, and monitor production of products and devices to ensure conformance to design specifications. Perform hands-on experience in designing RF circuits such as Frequency Synthesizer, LO Distribution circuitry, Mixers, Operational Amplifiers, RF Amplifiers and translate the RF transceiver’s system level requirement into circuit level specification.
Qualifications
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (with related variants such as VLSI or Physics), foreign equivalent or related field.
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, Graduate Research Assistant, WSCE OTA/SAR Engineering Intern or similar occupations.
Required Skills
Position requires two (2) years of experience in:
• Designing RF & Analog circuits by optimizing or trading off parameters such as Phase-Locked Loop phase noise, its nonlinearity reduction, digital assisted calibrations for silicon variation reduction.
• Frequency synthesizer, LO Distribution circuitry;
• Mixers, RF amplifiers, operational amplifiers.
• Fundamental semiconductor device physics and manufacture.
• IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, SpectreRF;
• Physical and critical layout associated with semiconductor processes and printed circuit board;
• Cadence; and
• Measurements equipment such as signal source analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope.
Offered salary: $178,006 per year
The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

$158,900 to $218,500 annually
