The water industry is undergoing significant change, with major investment driving the need for more resilient, sustainable and efficient infrastructure. At Stantec, we are working with leading water companies to deliver innovative engineering solutions that tackle some of the sector’s biggest challenges.
We’re looking for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our growing Water team in Derby, Birmingham or Redditch. This is an opportunity to take a leading role within our EICA capability, influencing technical delivery, supporting team development and working on nationally significant infrastructure projects.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where you can:
As a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting delivery from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes, providing technical governance and guiding project teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. Working closely with Project Managers, discipline leads, clients and supply chain partners, you will act as a trusted technical advisor while helping to strengthen Stantec’s Electrical Engineering capability.
You will also play a key role in developing others through mentoring, knowledge sharing and supporting the continued growth of our teams across the Midlands.
Your technical expertise will directly support the delivery of critical water infrastructure, helping clients improve resilience, meet regulatory requirements and deliver more sustainable solutions for communities.
As a Senior Principal Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape engineering decisions, influence project outcomes and support the development of future technical leaders. Your contribution will help Stantec continue to deliver innovative solutions that protect the environment, improve operational performance and create long-term value.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with leadership capability and a collaborative approach.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your engineering leadership career and help shape the future of UK water infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you.
