Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer | Swiss Deep Tech

Zurich Region, Switzerland (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced Hardware Electronics Engineer looking to work on technology that's genuinely pushing the boundaries of what is possible?

We are partnering with an innovative Swiss Deep Tech company that's developing next-generation scientific and high-performance electronic systems used by leading research organisations and technology innovators across the globe.

This is not a high-volume manufacturing environment or a maintenance role. You'll join a collaborative R&D team where engineers have real ownership, tackle complex technical challenges and contribute directly to products that are making an impact worldwide.

If you enjoy designing sophisticated electronic systems from concept through to production, this could be an exceptional opportunity.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in developing advanced embedded hardware platforms, working across the complete product lifecycle, from architecture and design through to testing, validation and production support.

You will be part of a highly collaborative engineering team where innovation, curiosity and technical excellence are genuinely valued.

What You will Be Doing

Designing high-performance embedded electronic systems

Developing analogue and high-speed digital hardware

System architecture and electronic design

PCB schematic capture and HDI layout

Working with microcontrollers, high-speed ADCs and FPGA-based hardware

Hardware bring-up, debugging and validation

Developing prototype and production test solutions

Supporting products from early concept through to manufacturing

Creating engineering and technical documentation

Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative products

What We are Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and takes pride in delivering high-quality hardware.

Ideally you will have:

Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (BSc or MSc)

Around 5+ years' experience in hardware electronics design

Strong analogue electronics design experience

High-speed digital design expertise

PCB design, layout and manufacturing knowledge

Experience with hardware testing, debugging and validation

Understanding of EMC and product integration

Why This Opportunity?

Join an ambitious Swiss Deep Tech company experiencing strong growth

Work on genuinely innovative technologyβ€”not incremental improvements

Be involved across the full product development lifecycle

Collaborate with highly talented multidisciplinary engineers

Enjoy significant technical ownership and autonomy

Hybrid working (2 days home office)

Excellent opportunities for personal and professional development
