Qualifications / Requirements:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related. Five (5) years of experience in low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical components within the wind energy industry. Work experience to include: Five (5) years of experience in electrical component design to include: transformer, power cable, machine head harnesses, and sensor; Five (5) years of experience reviewing electrical components for compliance and certification to international codes and standards including: IEC, UL, NEC and IEEE; Five (5) years of experience applying the following methodologies to wind turbine electrical components: design for six-sigma (certification not required), design for reliability, design for manufacturability, and design to cost; Product Lifetime Management (PLM) system; and Design tools to include: ePlan, and Unigraphics/NX. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
