For our branch office in Perth weβre looking for a (Senior) Electrical Engineer (gn) with immediate effect:
Tasks & responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for mining and bulk material handling machines (e.g., conveyors, crushers, stackers, reclaimers).
- Create electrical designs for power distribution, motor control systems, automation, and instrumentation specific to mining and bulk handling equipment.
- Prepare technical specifications and ensure compliance with industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, ATEX).
- Manage and oversee electrical aspects of projects for heavy machinery, from concept through installation and commissioning.
- Evaluate and select electrical components and systems, ensuring durability and reliability in harsh mining environments.
- Conduct on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment in mining and material handling plants.
- Ensure safety compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards, particularly in explosive or hazardous areas.
- Create detailed documentation (electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control system diagrams) for mining equipment.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of electrical components and services.
- Provide technical support for maintenance teams, focusing on diagnosing faults and ensuring maximum uptime of equipment.
- Identify energy-saving opportunities and improve the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems in mining and material handling processes.

Qualifications & experience
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology or similar (Bachelor, Master, Diploma), preferably with a subsequent doctorate.
- Alternatively, technical vocational training, possibly with subsequent further training.
- Several years of professional experience in electrical design and planning, ideally in mining and bulk material handling engineering.
- Business fluent English, other foreign languages are welcome.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
