About the Role
For this expression of interest (EOI), we are seeking a Senior Distribution Electrical Engineer to join our growing electrical engineering team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading technical teams, delivering high-quality electrical designs, and building strong client relationships while contributing to complex infrastructure projects.
At RAM, senior engineers remain actively involved in technical delivery while also influencing project strategy and client relationships. You will lead electrical distribution design work, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with clients while helping grow RAM’s electrical practice.
This role offers the opportunity to work on utility and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, while maintaining hands-on involvement in engineering challenges and project delivery.
What You’ll Be Working On
Leading the design and delivery of electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground infrastructure
Reviewing electrical schematics, layouts, pole line designs, and engineering specifications
Acting as Professional of Record (POR) and reviewing/stamping engineering deliverables
Supporting projects involving power distribution systems, EV charging infrastructure, and lighting systems across utility, residential, and institutional environments
Mentoring engineers and technologists while supporting their professional development
Coordinating with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical and construction issues
Managing project scope, schedule, and budgets while maintaining high engineering standards
Participating in client meetings, technical proposals, and RFP submissions
Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support long-term partnerships and repeat work
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with EGBC or APEGA, or eligibility for registration
8+ years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years working on electrical distribution or utility infrastructure projects
Experience with tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, PSCAD, SPIDAcalc, or PSSE is considered an asset
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Interest in mentoring junior engineers and helping grow a high-performing engineering team
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
