Senior Electrical Engineer

Vacancy: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services & Infrastructure) to design, coordinate, and oversee electrical systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use building projects and infrastructure development projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and coordinate electrical engineering building services including, but not limited to Medium Voltage & Low Voltage distribution and reticulation; Lighting systems and controls; Emergency power systems (generators, UPS); Earthing and lightning protection; Fire alarm and life safety systems; structured cabling, communications, and security systems.
• Design, develop and coordinate electrical engineering infrastructure systems, including but not limited to High Voltage & Medium Voltage transmission and distribution systems, sub-stations, protection & switching systems, Medium Voltage & Low Voltage reticulation, street & area lighting and earthing systems.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, town planners and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical input during project planning and execution phases.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material approvals.
• Monitor installation works on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Support snagging, handover, and final acceptance processes.
• Ensure all electrical systems meet statutory and safety requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

• BSc (Hons), BEng, or BTech in Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 year's consulting engineering experience.
• Compulsory: Registered with ECN or ECSA as a Professional or Incorporated Engineer
• Valid driver's license

Skills & Attributes:

• Experience with international and large-scale project delivery
• Experience with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, DigSilent, ReticMaster, Relux, or similar).
• Strong understanding of Fidic, JBCC, and GCC contract frameworks
• Familiarity with local and international electrical standards and codes.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and leadership capabilities
• Proficient in industry-standard engineering and project software
• Strategic thinker with an innovative mindset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management and ability to manage multiple projects.
