As an Electrical Engineer and having extensive knowledge of your field, you will be providing input prioritising future improvements and features, whilst delivering the technical knowledge and expertise required to deliver these features.
You will own the electrical calculation and be responsible for all changes made, backing up changes with sound reasoning. You will be working on our Trimble Electrical Design (TED - which includes ProDesign) software, which is key in the Trimble roadmap to serve our MEP customers.
You will be:
actively participating in designing electrical systems.
documenting calculations for new components and features.
validating and testing calculations where required.
performing hand calculations.
translating the electrical requirements for the development team to implement.
maintaining an expert level of calculation knowledge.
providing expert knowledge across our teams when required.
Foundational Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable industry experience.
Proven experience of 5+ years in electrical engineering
Strong knowledge of LV and HV Electrical calculations, e.g. IEC 60909, BS7671, IEC 60364 etc.
Able to conduct hand calculations for implementation.
Strong communication, interpersonal, team working and organisational skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Expertise in the Building Services industry in particular electrical software applications.
Good analytical problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer or working towards
Knowledge and experience of Electrical Software Products
Experience of working with our TED product such as ProDesign
Not required, but an advantage having knowledge & understanding of European regulations such as NEN1010, VDE0100 etc.
Experience of working with CAD products such as Revit

This resource primarily supports the BIM and Engineering MEP Sector and works collaboratively across the TED and Electrical Capability platform development teams. This is an in-office position in Milton Keynes, UK.
