As a Robotics Electrical Engineer, you will design, build, and test innovative robotic workcells and module designs such as robotic end of arm tools for our robot solutions.


Key job responsibilities
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to design new robotic industrial automation from concept to production.
• Design of complex electrical systems, including: layouts, schematics, BOM, documentation for fabrication, coordination with build/procurement, certification/QC, test and field support.
• Write requirements and functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• Develop field support diagnostics tools, documents, and training to resolve issues in high complexity FC system installations.
• Work with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations, as well as vendors to ensure a smooth production transition of design changes.
• Deep-dive drive electronics issues, optimize configurations, develop and execute tests to verify functionality.
• Travel to vendors, installation sites, and manufacturing partners to ensure high quality bar is maintained.

- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation

- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
