Department: Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated RF and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer with a strong background in satellite systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and integration of advanced RF and DSP algorithms used in satellite communications, remote sensing, and space-based payloads. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance and reliability of our satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement DSP algorithms for modulation/demodulation, channel coding/decoding, filtering, and signal detection in satellite communications systems.
• Develop and analyze RF front-end architectures, including up/down-conversion, filtering, and amplification chains.
• Simulate system performance using tools such as MATLAB or Python-based platforms.
• Perform link budget analysis and system-level RF performance evaluation.
• Support integration and test of RF and DSP hardware/software in both lab and field environments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and satellite operators to define requirements and performance metrics.
• Participate in satellite payload design reviews and support the development of custom communication solutions.
• Troubleshoot RF and DSP issues, including noise, interference, and distortion mitigation.
• Document designs, tests, and analyses clearly and thoroughly.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathmatics, Physics or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in RF systems and digital signal processing, preferably in satellite communications.
• Strong understanding of waveform generation, modulation techniques, error correction coding, RF
• Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
• Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or similar simulation and algorithm development tools.
• Familiarity with SDR platforms (e.g., GNU Radio, Ettus/USRP) and FPGA-based DSP implementation.
• Knowledge of satellite communication standards and protocols (e.g., DVB-S2, CCSDS).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with phased array antennas or beamforming techniques.
• Knowledge of spaceborne RF constraints such as thermal, radiation, and size/weight limitations.
• Familiarity with GNSS, Earth observation payloads, or inter-satellite links.
What We Offer:
• Competitive salary and benefits
• Opportunities to work on cutting-edge satellite technology
• Flexible work environment with hybrid options
• Career growth and mentorship from industry veterans
